Timon the budgie

I bought Timon the budgie as a small bird frm a pet shop, and bought him a brother shortly after, Pumbaa.

I only had Timon for about a year, and gave him away to a bird lover with a huge free flight cage.

Timon was pretty adorable, quite friendly and quite easy to train simple things (like climbing on your finger, etc.). He didn't bite and was well adjusted I'd say.

He never appeared ill, always ate his simple bird seeds without issues, and seemed to be a pretty cool dude.

At the end, I was always sad that he and his brother couldn't fly around much, or interact with more birds, since budgies fly in huge flocks in the wild, so I ended up rehoming them both to a place with a very large cage and plenty of other birds to play with. It made me happy to see them as free as possible.

I guess budgies make good pets, but I somehow can't cope with them being in homes. They are so so gorgeous out in the wild, and I personally struggle with seeing them in cages. If you are looking for budgies, get a cage as large as possible, and consider buying a few birds so they can play loads.
