We had two budgies, green and blue. They were my brother's pets and he took care of them. We mainly kept them in a cage, but let them fly around our living room for a couple of hours every day.

You had to be a little careful though, because the would nibble on things and drop...other things. I think we should have invested a little more time and effort to learn about budgies, because our couldn't really do anything.

One day I found another budgie sitting on a tree in our garden. I held up my arm and he jumped right on it. Whenever I would lift my arm, he would walk up to my hand and whenever I lowered it, he would walk up to my shoulder. He knew some other tricks, too. That's when I realised we could have actually trained out budgies much better. But they were pretty and friendly and we were quite happy with them.
