They are very social birds, important for them to have a companion. When we got our birds they were not socialized with humans and were too old to learn. We didn't force them to spend time with us as they were quite content to play with each other. They are quite noisy birds and can sometimes be noisy at nighttime. They are easy to feed and clean out their cages. They do not require too much maintenance. Good for people who like to have a pet around but aren't too concerned with interacting with them. Probably not suitable for young children.
