Budgies are an excellent bird to have especially if its you first bird they are very easy to train they need a few toys to play with and a pretty roomy cage.If you want to tame them then i suggest you only buy one and work with them until you have there full trust and then after words if you want to purchase another which im pretty sure you will after spending a few weeks with these little active clowns then you may purchase another how ever don not try to house them together until the new one is trained and fully trust you.Also i cant stress this enough do not purchase one bird alone if you do not have at lease an hour or two a day to spend with them
