Budgie

I got my budgie a few years ago and loved spending time with him. We decided to give him to my nephew who couldn't have any pets with fur as a birthday present. I do love my budgie, but he's in a very good home that loves him very much. This is the only bird I've ever owned, but it was a good experience. Budgies come in many beautiful colors and patterns. They are absolutely beautiful and very unique.

My bird was very vocal, and would make noise about everything. His vocalizations weren't particularly lovely either. If you can stand a lot of noise, then you would be just fine with a budgie. Usually the sounds they make are sweet and cute, but on occasion something will make them upset and they'll let you know right away. Cleaning was not a very big hassle. I had a birdcage about 3 1/2 feet high and 2 feet wide, so our budgie had plenty of room. We lined the bottom of the cage with newspaper, which made cleaning that much easier.

Speck was very cuddly, and would gladly climb onto your finger and cuddle up to you on your shoulder. He was a very sweet bird, and I'm hoping that he is an accurate representation of all budgies. This a a great pet for those who are not sure about caring for birds. I had a great experience with my budgie, and I think anyone would have fun with one.
