I got Roko about 3 years ago when I was riding my bike home and saw a stray bird on a fence, I grabbed him and got him home. He was very frightful at first, and still is but not as much. It was hard getting him used to my hand, but I started slow and it required a lot of patience. Now, I can take him out of his cage easily and even cuddle him. He sometimes screams, but that is something all birds do, it is best to ignore it and not give him any attention while he is on his screaming mode. If you are going to get a budgie, I highly reccomend getting him very young as he will be much easier to train and will be attached to you. Having such a fragile little bird trust you is a great feeling.
