Blue the parakeet

I've owned many parakeets but Blue is the best of them all. He's from a pet shop, because my mom bought him for me as a present. Otherwise, my experiences with birds from pet shops are very bad and I don't recommend getting an animal from a pet shop but rather from a breeder.

I named him Blue, even though he's actually green. :P

From the day 1, Blue is comfortable with me touching him and with sitting on my shoulders. He likes to eat from my hand and he likes to fly around the room. He is fine with being free in the room alone and is very friendly. When my little brother pets him he can be rough but Blue would never hurt him. :)

He is not afraid of my dog and gets on well with his older brother from another mother. :)

It's not that easy to clean and maintain the habitat, because there is a lot of feathers all around the cage. There is also a lot of shells all around our living room since we got parakeets.

Blue does not repeat words yet, but I hope that he will one day. He likes to be quiet and doesn't even make any noise, which I am a little bit upset with.
