Acquired: Pet store

It's been quite some years since my experience with Mia and unfortunately it wasn't that good of an experience overall. My grandparents bought her for me and kept her at their place which might have been the first problem. One, I was not her owner and two, neither of us were quite that adept at training a parrot with them having no experience whatsoever and me being a child. Needless to say we did not bond with Mia at all. And neither did she with us.
She was a beautiful bird with colorful feathers, a nice mix of yellows and greens with a small dash of blue. But, she was very skittish, not used to interacting with humans at all. She would nip you quite hard if you tried to pet her and if she managed to escape from her cage it was horrible trying to coax her back. As such cleaning her cage was a trial and she made quite a lot of mess. Her chirping was quite nice, but she wasn't very vocal and chirped only when there was no one else nearby.
When we got her a partner she mellowed down a bit, became more friendly and vocal. Unfortunately, a month or two later she got very sick - the vet said she most likely ate something bad for her - and died.
