Pio and Lin. My parakeets

I had a pair of parakeets, one male (Pio) and one female (Lin) they were a gift for Christmas as a surprise i didn´t know anything about parakeets. At first i was afraid that they would fight with one another but fortunately they got along very well.
What I liked about them as pets was the joy they brought to my home with their colors and their songs. I had them in the kitchen where I spend a lot of time, since I love to cook, Whenever I would talk to someone they would sing.
I recommend having parakeets if you like having a pet that doesn`t require much maintenance
I haven´t read a better definition and description than the one in Rutgers´s book "Parakeets Guide" "Its appeal lies not only in its liveliness, docile, playful and acrobatic character, but also their capacity for affection, beautiful wavy lines and the infinite range of colors in which we are shown. These qualities, combined with its elegant and graceful silhouette, make the parakeet irresistible.

My basic advice: The first days with parakeets are crucial, this is when the foundation of a good relationship between the animal and the owner is set, so I talked to them so I talked to them to gain their trust and i put them in a place with plenty of sunshine.
Active pets remain more alert than those that aren´t and are more resistant to disease. Branches, ladders, plastic balls and swings stimulate curiosity.
It is certainly one of the most popular and appreciated pets worldwide
