Bonnie.And Clyde

When I was seventeen, my family acquired two parakeets, or budgies. We named them Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie lived for about a year afterword; Clyde lived four years after we bought them.
I personally thought they were beautiful birds! Bonnie was a yellow and green budgie, while Clyde was a beautiful light blue. I wanted so much to be able to hold the birds, and maybe carry them around, but they wanted nothing to do with me. They did, however, enjoy the company of people. They were very chatty when there were other people around. I loved to hear them chatting. Clyde was even more vocal after Bonnie died, which I thought was neat. Their food was easy to find, but there was one particular kind of seed or something in it that they did not like, because they kept throwing that one out. It really made me laugh.
The con is that they were very messy. The cage had to be cleaned every day or every other day. If not, it was gross. Their water was green every day, so I had to scrub out their bowl and give them fresh water every day.
Overall, it was a fun experience, and one I will definitely repeat when I can again. I do recommend this breed, just know that they are a little extra work.
