When I was growing up, there was always a pair of budgies in my house. They were always extremely cute with bright colors. We always made sure to keep one male and one female. Our budgies were active, adorable creatures who LOVED to be whistled at. They often helped me find joy after my long, boring day.

However, if you are angered easily by little messes and constant sound, budgies may not be the pet for you. I often came home to seeds in the floor and feathers every where. I made it a priority to clean the floor around the cage every day. The chirping can get annoying when it is constantly happening, but at the same time the happiness and love between two budgies makes it all worth it.

My time as a budgie owner was wonderful. The birds were beautiful to watch and, if the wings were clipped, they were great to hold. I would love to own some more one day, but right now my busy schedule keeps me from being able to give them enough attention.
