I owned Bluebonnet when I was in High School. He died of some infection that sprang on him fast. He chirped back to me when I talked to him and greatly enjoyed the company of other birds outside of his cage. If I stuck my hand in his cage he would aggressively peck at it. I took him out of the kennel once and he flew around the room nervously. At night I put a blanket over his cage so he would be quiet. He was easy to care for. Water needed to be changed daily because he would poop in it. He shed his under feathers at certain points throughout the year. Cleaning the cage was difficult.
