This bird breed is fantastic. They are easy to take care for. I had 5 five Budgerigars and most of them were extremely friendly with me and my family. They are, cute but if they become aggressive they may peck painfully, but this might happen very rarely or never depending on the bird.
At the beginning it is hard for the bird to trust people but after a month of proper training and trust-gaining this little fellow becomes the perfect pet for busy parents and kids who want a pet.
The kids love them (and the adults, too) because, although small and not considered very clever, they can learn tricks and can be let out of the cage flying in the room or sit comfortably on your shoulder while you're doing various things at home.
As a whole, they are perfect match for people who are not able to invest much time in cleaining and taking care of an animal, but want a pet. It is also a great bird for kids.
