What little cuties

Parakeets or budgies are cute little buggers. They will usually learn to say a few words if they hear them enough. They are very sweet, so light and cute.

Budgies come in a lot of different colors and spend their day chirping along. All they want to do is please you and share some of your dinner. They are very easy to care for and their chirp is fairly quiet like the smaller birds outside.

There really isn't a downside to owning budgies. You should get your budgies from a rescue organization, if possible. The bird should be tested for psittacosis, as so many of the little birds have that disease.
