Lovely birds

I used to own a couple of budgerigars (one was blue, the other one was green and yellow). They were lovely pets and actually, they were the first birds I acquired.
Budgerigars are very easy to find in pet stores and they are not really expensive (20$ per bird). You can find their seeds in these shops as well (and they do love millet !) and it is really easy to clean their habitat.

The birds I bought were not tamed and it was rather difficult to do so. Budgerigars can be fearful if they are not used to seeing humans. That is why I recommand you to buy tamed birds from a breeder, you will be able to cuddle them very rapidly.

However, they may be noisy sometimes and they are not always melodious. So if you are an edgy person, I'd advise you to ponder your purchase.
They remain totally appropriate for a first-bird acquisition.
