I was grief-stricken after my last bird died of a tumor, so people insisted that I get a new bird, not to replace him, but to have something to look after again. I wasn't so sure about this idea, but I bought Romana and now I can't imagine not having her. She can say a few phrases and I'm trying to teach her more, though she loves sticking to what she already knows. She is extremely social and most of the time will not eat unless I am eating as well.
There are downsides to her being so attached to me, though. I always feel really guilty when I have to leave for college because she starts to tweet after me to come back. This lasts long after I've locked my door. If I've been sitting and playing with her for a while and I dare to walk out of the room, she goes into a very loud rage. Nevertheless, it's nice to feel so needed by a little bird!
