The Budgie Companion

Java was purchased from a pet shop some years ago. He is a blue budgie. He has always been very quiet and never really did much. He looked sad and lonely. We decided to purchase him a friend which we called Flipp. After a little bit of confrontation Java and Flipp have now accepted each other and sit happily together on the perch. Java even now makes lots of noises as Flipp is very vocal. Java never used to make any noises. Flipp likes to fly around but Java is a little less healthy and hasn't done much flying lately. Java runs with it and gives it a try regardless. I heard budgies live for about 20 years. These two will be around forever. I love them to bits. I kind of have a soft spot for birds but don't tell Boots my cat or he might get upset!

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you have had such an unfortunate experience with Arabians... :( These characteristics you are expressing are NOT normal for Arabians at all. I don't know the background of the horses you speak of, but it's disheartening to hear that you have been imprinted with this view from your experiences. I hope at some point you may have the chance to have a better experience with an Arabian.
