The humble budgie

There is a reason why the budgerigar is one of the most owned and most loved birds for families. A breeze to clean, easily trained and very hardy, the budgie is a lovely bird that can give hours of fun and enjoyment to all in the family.

These little birds are prone to bite, and this may be the only aspect that needs training in younger birds. However, overall these are beautiful birds, that are a joy to have in any home.

What is needed to take care of a budgie? A large cage, a friend or two for the bird to keep them company, chew toys, perch, wooden toys, bird food and most importantly - love and care from old and young.
