We got "Boo" from my husbands aunt who raised Parakeets. We spent time with him from the first day he was hatched. He got his name from my son who at the time was around two years old, he couldn't quite say "blue bird" so it came out "boo bird" so the name stuck and we called him Boo. These birds are very trainable when you get them young, boo would ride on our son's head as he played, would whistle songs and give kisses. Very easy to take care of and a great beginer bird for anyone. Boo passed away at the age of 6, which is a year longer than expectancy. The parakeet pictured is not Boo but is what he looked like, my son is 17 now and still talkes about Boo, he was a very loved part of the family.
