I can't think of a better way to wake up... in the morning, my budgie sings but in a low tone, waking me up slowly and pleasantly.
The story of Rio, my Budgie, is very peculiar: I never had a budgie before. I always thought that birds weren't supposed to be pet, and I prefer animals that I can touch and interact. So one day I was passing by a street, and there he was, on the floor, very scared. My boyfriend picked him up (and got a few bites!), and he just couldn't fly away, because he had a faulty wing. So we took him home, named him Rio (like the movie!) and got a cage for him. Not two days after, we decided to get a female to keep him company, and named her Jade (like the movie too, as their relation is just like in the movie!).
Now, they both sing together, they play a lot (I have real fun watching them play!), and they both love to interact with me (Jade even loves to kiss me in my mouth!). So love overcomes all obstacles. Rio was a scared and biting budgie. But with persistence and love, he became an adorable budgie that loves to stay on his owner's shoulder!
