Someone loved this bird before I did. He was at a pet store sitting in a cage all by himself at the counter. On impulse I brought him home. I named him Sir Tweetsalot, thinking that because he was a bird, that he would be loud and chirping and singing. Apparently someone told him other wise because he only makes a noise when he is scared or hungry. The first day I brought him home he sat on my shoulder all day, for about 3 days. He flew away from me once so I decided to clip his wings because he fell. Since then he doesn't sit on my shoulder long or finger ever. He has only bit me one time and that was when I was clipping his wings. I don't like all the feathers and seed shells everywhere but Sir Tweetsalot is a very well behaved bird and beautifully colored. Aside from the mess, I only wish I could get him to say something. He was young when I got him, and the store said he was a boy, but after doing my own research I'm starting to think he may be a she. His cere is not blue, but its not brown and flaky either so I really cannot tell. It changes from gray/blue to pink. As soon as I know for sure, I will be better with my expectations from him.
