The Brown-headed Parrot is a beautiful and intelligent bird that lives about 30 years. This is a good bird for children over eight because it is big enough that they won't easily accidentally hurt it, and it is very tame when trained correctly. Do NOT adopt a young/baby if you can't give the bird 30 year and provide a guardian in case you pass away before your bird. Consider adoption an older Brown-headed Parrot from a rescue organization before adoption a baby there are many already trained birds than need a good home.
