Isis chose me. When I walked by her at a bird show she launched herself off her perch, landed on my shoulder and threatened to draw blood on anyone who tried to remove her. I brought her home. She has been a sweet enjoyable bird and I think that bronze-wings probably don't get the attention they should from the bird world because they aren't brightly colored. Isis color is soft muted tones that remind me of a thunderstorm. That is until she opens her wings and shows the beautiful turquoise blue underneath. I feed pelleted food, not the stuff with artificial colors added, and only seeds as a treat. Isis also gets fresh fruits and veggies as well as pasta and brown rice along with soak & cook mixtures. She loves cherries! I also feed her small amounts of organic peanut butter, the kind with no, not the stuff with additives. She is a bird and if you don't want feathers and stuff all over you don't want a bird. She loves showers and her outdoor flight cage.
