Canaries sing beautifully and look absolutely stunning!

The only downfall of having a Canary is that they get scared easily and they're fragile. You can't exactly hold a Canary, but they sing beautifully and are adorable (Elvis reminded me a chickadee). He exceeded his life span and lived to be 10 years old. Most Canaries only live to be 7. Cleaning his cage wasn't the easiest because he'd get scared and fly around a lot, but he was a very good bird to have. If you're looking for a bird that will interact with you a lot (like say a parquet), then this bird is not for you. But if you want your spirits to be lifted with their song, then I highly recommend a pet Canary.
