Easily found, this Amazon parrot can mimick not only voices, but even sounds in the household. They generally do not vocalize excessively. If socialized properly, they can accept handling with everyone. They can be very playful, but not all the time. They tend to gain wieght, so encouraging playtime is a good idea. Diet needs to be watched so they don't gain too much weight. Generally, Amazons are very healthy with exception of weight gain. Females tend to be less aggressive seasonally. They are average in cost to own becasue their toys, cage, and playstand do cost more than smaller birds.
