Jack, The Blue fronted Amazon

Unfortunately, I did not own Jack very long. He was a bird, my husband purchased because I had a Goffin that was more bonded with me. Unfortunately, less than a year later a separation and life changes caused us to re-home Jack. Luckily, Jack and my Goffin, Maddy went to a wonderful couple and forever home. Jack, being an amazon was more difficult to bond with than my Goffin. I believe had I been the sole person handfeeding, training, and spending time with Jack, he would have done much better. Unfortunately, my husband did not have the time and my other bird would be very jealous. Although, he was a lot of fun, he liked to play, loved to get in the shower, and was already whistling and mimicking at a young age, please think hard before obtaining a parrot. They are expensive and take a lot of time and money to keep happy and healthy.
