T Bird has given me a new outlook on life because I have to see the world through his eyes. Its the only way I can learn about what's going on in his mind and he's alert and sensitive to every action and emotion going on around him. He is beautiful and lonely for a companion. I am his companion but he has never known another one of his own kind and I think he needs that experience to feel complete. I cannot be his mate but I can provide him with unconditional love and a good home experience. We spend all of our time together while I am at home, which is good for us both but I feel his hunger to know one of his own species. I have thought about surrendering him but he is contented and doesn't like changes. Since he was basically a rescue bird which came through a friend, I have never known his past except for the way he acts and reacts. His vocabulary consists of one word, "cracker", which he uses for anything he wants or needs. He can be fierce when the mood strikes him but I do not challange or reject him for it. I simply leave him alone for awhile. He loves to have company come in and talk to him and adore him. The tail is displayed and all his feathers are fluffed and he will whistle and jabber back to them.
