I had a blue fronted amazon for almost 11 years, unfortunately, he died last year and I miss him very much. I even miss the annoying noises he made sometimes. Lorito was the funniest pet I ever had, he was extremely loud, sometimes he made quite a mess and he even bite me when was little. They are good family pets (if you do not mind about the noise), but you should be careful with kids and always supervise. Lorito learned all the names of our family members; he learned some sentences and some bad words that we did not taught him on purpose and he imitated several ringtones. He enjoyed the outside and small walks on our shoulder, loved to be pet and to cuddle and needed lots of attention from everybody. Sometimes he made lots of mess that we had to clean, he was always trying to steal our food (especially bananas) and we had to be careful with french fries, because even though he could not eat them he would always try to steal when when weren’t looking. They are fun pets to have if you have time for them, they are very social pets and they really show you their love. However, if you are not ready to wake up at 6 a.m with loud annoying sounds, maybe they are not the best pet for you. Unfortunately he died last year from a breathing problem.
