I have had many finches over the years. They are extremely easy to breed and give great colors. They are not your typicaly desired pet bird as they are a bit to skiddish to hand train. I have tried many times and while they can become more manageable, it is really not worth the effort of hand feeding every 3 hours.

Finches are usually non-aggressive, but they are scared of their own shadows. I would suggest finches as a pet bird to anyone that enjoys the beauty of a bird, the small chirp song and the ease of a bird that does not require attention. They are also not very messy, nor do they require a tedious diet.
