Annoying, Violent Birds

We liked these birds so much when we saw them in the pet store that we bought a large cage and four birds. They were colorful and, at first, their "singing" seemed pleasant. After we got them home, however, they became a nuisance. Within the first few days of ownership, they had already laid several eggs so we had to give away the females. This proved to be a poor decision as the females must have provided a calming presence: within a weak two of the finches had killed the third. They makes excessive noise, scatter food all over the room, and are hostile towards the people that try to care for them. I would not recommend these birds to anybody.
