Pespi is a rowdy bird.  Very phycial and plays hard. I inherieted him from a family who couldn't do anything with him.  It took alot of patience and time to make him a friend that I could feel comfortable dealing without losing my fingers. As much as I enjoy him. I don't think I could ever recommend to anyone in to owning a macaw. Especially if you have never had a bird before.  For alot of people this is their ideal bird. But this bird can be very dangerous and do some serious damage to you phycially.  They are extremely loud and can get you evicted from your home.  They go though wood like a buzzsaw.  They can go from perfect to killer in a blink of a eye.  ( and you wondered why pirates wore patches on their eyes.)
