My caique Felix is a very high energy and vocal bird. He makes pretty bird calls often and mimics sounds of cars, video games and can say quite a few words and phrases. He does yell once in a while, but not to the point of being annoying. He's a playful and friendly guy, but he can nip at you and if he gets angry, he bites hard. Mine also seems to hold a grudge if he gets displeased with you. Then, he comes around again. He likes to chew a lot of things such as bottoms of doors, clothing, shoes, etc, so you have to always keep an eye on him. He's a lot of fun and very cute and smart. He likes lots of attention so he is good for someone who can invest some time and energy in playing with him. His food and veggies don't cost a lot, but his cage is expensive since he needs a very large one. He likes to play with toys, too. He can live to be around 35 years of age. He's really a little clown and an observant, curious guy. His mannerisms are very cute and he can be affectionate and sweet. I have cockatiels, too, and the caique is much less docile and a more playful, rowdy bird. Lots of personality and a terrific, small parrot.
