Spike is great as long as he is the center of attention.  If he has to play 2nd fiddle then he can be a real jerk! He will bite and bit hard anyone who is holding him when he is feeling low.  Mostly he entertains hisself with his rope and wood toys.  He loves to chip and chew on wood.  His voice is rather loud and not very pleasant.  But we have taught him to whisper and  he sounds way better on the ears.  He really likes seed and is not really into pellets.  He is a rather fussy eater.  So it is a adventure to get him to eat something new.  I think that caiques are great birds, way more social than sennies who are about the same size.
