Ringneck Doves

Ringneck doves are such beautiful birds! At first my doves did not seem happy to be in their new home. I would get pecked every time I reached into their cage and they did not like being held. Slowly but surely this passed and the doves became very sweet natured and tame. Be sure to give them some time outside of their cage for a little exercise. My doves enjoyed perching themselves on my shoulders every now and then. I never was able to accomplish it, but they can be trained to come to you on command, they really are smart birds! Their coos could be VERY loud at times, this is not a bird that you would want in an apartment or other place where the noise could bother others. These birds can live up to 15 years or more, be sure that you are ready for the commitment!
