Canary Review

I owned a beautiful yellow Canary for a little over two years! This was my first bird I owned, and luckily have a friend who is a bird expert!! During that time I learned so much about birds and canaries!! For example, they are supposed to eat either chicken or egg every three months to promote nutrition and a healthy coat. My birds name Jodie and had the most beautiful songs! He sat in front of the bedroom windows in a large cage. He had a schedule to wake up at the same time everyday and sing a good-morning tune. One thing I didn't consider is how messy birds can be! I was fortunate enough that he did not poop outside of his cage, although I know this is common. But Jodie did get food (seed) scattered everywhere! Checking food and water needs to be done daily! They enjoy rustling their feathers, singing, and have sweet personalities! Changing the newspaper at the bottom of the cage needs to be done about three times a week but takes less than a minute and doesn't require you to open the cage typically! I really miss waking up to a happy little yellow bird singing sweet songs! Great company, low maintenance, and pretty cheap upkeep! (:
