I just wanted to tell you a little about my canaries..I have an American Singer male who is yellow and all Song...I mean he sings his heart out...his song is the most beautiful sound that I have ever heard come out of a birds mouth in the whole wide world...I also have a Red Factor female...who is all heart...she chirps and hops around all the time and gets my male really going..They make a great team....They have laid two clutches so far...both infertile because they are so young...and are about to start their third...she is starting to build her nest...Their names are Chipper and lil Missy...I couldn't ask for better birds...they love to hear my voice..although they do not like to be handled they are not scared when I put my hand in their cage...I give them open flight time outside their cage all day and they know when it is time to settle in for bed...as they go to their seperate cages when they get tired...they play all day...they fly after one another and take turns letting each other eating out of the treat dish...they love their baths...and enjoy their toys..especially their mirrors and swings this pacifier thing that they pull at all day and this disco ball that is in there...I also have this flower thing that use to have nesting material in it but they pulled it all out..so now I fill it with cotton balls that I pack in there real tight and they love to pull them out...They are great birds and make great pets...
