I have had  alexandrines, derbyans, ringnecks and I would highly recommend these birds. They are very intelligent. Range from inactive to active depending on species. Ranges from low noise level to very noisey depending on species. The alex's have very clear speach and easy to train. Love to be with your but also very independant. Easy keepers. All in all I have to say I vote the most for them.
