Their markings are beautiful and those bright colorful beaks, and super long tail make them truly stunning.

Alexadrines are not a cuddly bird.  The do not like to be petted but will give kisses.  The ones I have met spoke clearly but had a limited vocabulary.  The males have a beautiful song.  They are affectionate and social but hands off.  So not for those that need a tactile experience.

They are known to become very aggressive during hormonal seasons.  Some have been known to kill their mates.
