Keeping African Silverbill

I have six silverbill in my aviary and five are African type. They are lovely little birds, smaller than Society finches who they are related to and can cross with and with the typical Mannikin-type song. They are friendly birds with others in the aviary and cause no problems even when nest building. The nearest to aggression they get is a high pitched noise when they are warning others off their food bowl! The downside, like a lot of small finches, is there isn't much interaction with silverbills. One of my birds will occasionally come to the food bowl in my hand but that is as near as I come to them. So they are great birds to enjoy finches but not necessarily one for those who wish to interact closely with their birds.
