I honestly really like pigeons because they are so innocent and gentle. A lot of people assume they can not be trained or are not intelligent and I dont believe this to be true at all. Heck, they trained pigeons for use in wars!

When we got this Green Pigeon into the sanctuary I worked at I fell in love with it unusual coloring. It was such an interesting looking bird, and very sweet and soft. They make low volume throat noises that are cute. They obviously dont sing or anything, but they are very gentle, low-key birds, and this particular bird to me is beautiful. They can be a bit anxious but once they are used to you they really seem to love the attention. I wish I could of kept this bird for myself, but they do better in small groups, so I didnt want to isolate her.
