NADH (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide – or NAD) is a coenzyme (meaning that it is a required co-factor for a metabolic process) for cellular energy production and the production of neurotransmitters like Dopamine and Norepinephrine.
NADH is available in tablets.
NADH appears to stimulate adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production. ATP is an enzyme found in every cell that is necessary for conversion of food into energy. NADH is found in small amounts in most foods, with meat and poultry providing the highest levels – 4-5 mg per 4 ounce serving, however cooking may destroy NADH. As a supplement, NADH may help improve energy and stamina.
