The pattern on the Vietnamese Mossy Tree Frog visually does seem to be a patch of moss yet when handled it is a smooth skin with little pimple like raises on the body. This is not a common find in the pet stores but when you do come across one I do recommend getting it. One of the calmest frogs and gets along well with other species.

These frogs need a little attention to the habitat. They need both Land and Water to switch between and for hunting. Also a little on the humid side to simulate a rain forest. Also If your or another person is easily spooked by noises in the night I do not recommend the pet be in that persons bedroom. At night the Frog will make Jungle sounds similar to a Kookaburra. Otherwise they are an easy pet to handle and feed. If taken directly out of the water watch out they may squirt as they release their water.

Easily My favorite Frog.
