We had a Salamander with the very original name of 'Sally'. We are unsure if it was male or female. It was young when we got it and approximately doubled in size while we had it.

It was very easy to care for. We kept it in an aquarium with a dirt floor, small water pond and some rocks. It didn't move around much, and would often almost blend in with the dirt unless you looked really close. Every once in awhile, we would see it swimming in its pond. We fed it mealworms, earthworms and occasionally other bugs. My brother was its primary caregiver and it generally only got taken out of the aquarium when other little boys wanted to look at it. I found it very interesting to watch, but was never overly excited about handling it.
