My salamander was found injured in the wild so I decided to take him home and nurse him back to health. He had a leg injury and never would have survived in the wild. He seemed happy enough, bumbling around his enclosure, not trying to climb out a whole lot. I swear this critter would eat cardboard if you felt like feeding it to him He would eat ANYTHING. Tried him with meat, bloodworms, veggies, fish pellets. I got him some dwarf aquatic frogs to keep him company...probably a bad idea. He ate one and choked to death on the other! He was a neat little pet but he smelled AWFUL.
