This is a fascinating and interesting species to keep. They have the ability to pronounce their ribs like which are have spikes on them They do very well in captivity and will make a great collection to any amphibian collection. I keep mine in groups of 3 or 4 individuals and I feed them everyday or every second day. They make great beginner to intermediate amphibians and I would recommend these to those keepers. A great newt species and very exciting to keep and a pleasing to look after.
