Loved my Toads

My last year of high school I bought two fire-bellied toads from my local pet store. Though they were small they were packed with personality. All I needed was a small aquarium and some rocks and I built the perfect habitat for my duo. The best part I feel was I could get plenty of different types of food for them at my local pet store and they seemed to know everything that would make my little guys happy.
They survived the busy life of a high school senior, but both very much enjoyed being handled. Though I don't recommend letting them on the carpet... Their bodies pick up every little hair!
I also regret having them right in my bedroom because at night they decided to be very vocal and their noises can range from shrill chirping to barking and growling. A cleaning schedule is a must for their tank, the amount of water they need gets dirty quick. But all and all I felt they were a perfect pet for me. I recommend them to anyone wanting something different in a pet. I don't recommend them for smaller children, however, for the safety of the animal.
