Himalayan Crocodile Newt (Tylototriton verrocosus)

The Himalayan Crocodile Newt (Tylototriton verrocosus) is a rare and hardly seen newt species from the moist forests of Southeast Asia. Captive bred specimens now available from a handful of specialized amphibian breeders. These newts do well in captivity and will feed and breed quite easily if the water conditions in their tank are adequate. I enjoy keeping these because they are very gentle animals and are a great option for an apartment pet of for any naturalist aquarium/ living viavirum setup. I would recommend this pet to medium to advanced keepers. A great species to keep and a true gem to see in captivity. Breed them so others will be able to enjoy them as well.
