Toads are chubby little guys who are friendly and don't mind sharing their space with other toads and frogs. Green toads are non-aggressive interesting little creatures who love an environment of mulch or organic unscented wood chips. Your local petstore can find the right low-output light for your tank and will let you know they like to be kept at an average temperature of around 75 degrees. These little guys love crickets and earthworms and should be fed half to a whole dozen every other day depending on it's size. Though tempting, the american green toad is not necessarily a pet to be handled often. It is technically toxic but will at most cause irritation. Always give your toad bottled water to avoid toxins in the tap water.
