The Eastern Newt or also known as "orange salamander" is one of the most common species of Newt. They make relatively good aquarium pets so long as you don't have any carnivorous fish in the tank - when the Eastern Newt feels threatened they secrete a poisonous substance.
These Newts have a large apatite for insects, small amphibians and worms - make sure you can stomach your salamander's diet and can obtain their food easily.
