Canes can be docile, aggressive, and evasive. They can get out of many enclosures, they have more energy then they show, and they need a social structure. The toads all linger in around 11 pm to the small pond in the back yard (Hawaii). They meet, and breed then swim and go home. Each rainy night they sing and delight in the perfect temperature 80's and perfect humidity 100%. The one we kept as pet got better and returned to the wild with his/her friends. Many many tadpoles showed up in the pond, and then just two days later they were gone. Who knows what happened.
